Fair Do's - Ker 46
We had been asked to take on some of the boat work for this 46. We will be looking after some of the bigger jobs on the list and helping to prepare the boat for the Round Britain and Ireland race in August.

Team Aqua - Extreme 40
We were asked to put this boat back together ready to go sailing after it had been sat in a container for a year. Everything has been serviced, mast will go in and the boat will be launched.

Jacobs Ladder - J109
This boat needed a quick antifoul job in time for the J cup. Lifts were arranged and the boat chocked up out of the water. The existing Antifoul taken off back to primer, the boat was then re primed and a new antifoul added. The boat was relaunched within 4 days with a fast finish .

Bob - Farr 52
Previously 'Bear of Britain', now with new owners, we are taking on the management of this boat again. Bob has now had a complete refit, new winch package, new sail inventory and been IRC optimised with a large bowsprit, larger spinnaker area and a square top mainsail. This boat will be ultra competitive in the lighter winds and will certainly be one to watch in 2010.

Paddiwac - seaquest 36
We were asked to investigate cracking around both keel bandages. On investigation we found that the Iron was badly rusting and filler had become waterlogged. This was all ground back to bare metal and etch primed. Both joints were filled and faired before an epoxy coating was applied and an antifoul topcoat to finish off.

Diamond - 1/4 tonner
Following a Cowes week incident we were asked to effect repairs sustained and then resprayed the topsides and deck to make this old boat look like new! She now has a further updated cockpit and plans for a new mast are in place.

Strait Dealer - J125
This boat has been based in Malta for many years and has been very successful. However, as the current owner is now moving back to the UK we were asked to arrange the delivery of the boat. We shipped the cradle and all the boat equipment in a 20ft container from Malta to Southampton and then on to Cowes and went on to sail the boat from Malta to Marseille. The mast and all vulnerable deck fittings were removed in France and the boat was then lifted onto a truck to go by road to Southampton. This was then launched at Saxon Wharf, Southampton before motoring the boat to Cowes to be lifted out onto it's cradle. We will now complete all necessary jobs as requested and step the rig etc in time for the new season.

Concise - Class 40
Having sailed this boat at the world championships in France in 2008, finishing 3rd and the RORC Caribbean 600 race, we were asked to sail on the boat for the 2009 Worlds in Hamble. We won this event in a competitive fleet and are now current class 40 world champions! A new boat is on the way and we look forward to defending the title, amongst other events in 2010.

Apollo -TP52
Formerley Panthera. The plans for this boat changed when she was sold and now has a busy offshore sailing schedule. Our time has been used putting the boat into an offshore mode, checking and adding safety gear, improving systems for longer races etc. The boat has since competed in the St Malo and Channel races finishing 2nd in each of these and has just completed the Fastnet race to end up 4th overall. Not a bad result for a newly aquired boat.

Artemis -figaro
Whilst this boat was in Cowes having some minor refit works we were asked to service the mast and rigging. The mast was undressed, damaged rods were replaced, everything cleaned and re-lubricated and the rig was ready to go back in the boat within a short space of time.

Maarten 49
This boat came over from Germany with a poor bottom finish. We were asked to apply a new coating of antifoul and make good all the imperfections that were in the hull. With a topside polish and her new bottom paint the boat looks like new!

Fair Do's - Ker 46
Fair Do's came back from the Caribbean and having been unable to lift out had an underside with an antifoul finish which was covered in Barnacles! We were asked to remove the antifoul, fill all the imperfections in the hull and re spray the underside. This was done within 10 days and that boat now has a well prepared, wet sanded  bottom finish for dry sailing and more importantly a fast racing finish.
As well as painting we have been involved with undressing the boat's rig, removing the rudder and some rope work.

Diamond - 1/4 tonner
Diamond came in over a weekend to have a new, more efficient mainsheet system added (which had the bonus of improving the dated cockpit layout); a new carbon spinnaker pole and a hull re-spray. The boat was hung from a centre point lift in the shed at Medina Yard and the hull was sprayed with 545, wet sanded, polished and the existing cradle padding was replaced. This boat will be one to watch finishing 3rd at the Vice Admirals cup and with a busy season ahead.

I-Shares - Extreme 40
Following the BT re-spray we were asked to take on the re-paint of the I-Shares 40. The same base was used as for the previous boat so time and more importantly money was saved. All the regular preparations were made and the boat was ready to be sprayed. We chose to spray this boat with black Durepox, a matt finish primer. This is a finish used by some cup teams as it can offer up to 15% less drag than regular coatings when finished properly. The boat was finished to a high standard and ahead of schedule and delivered back to Offshore Challenges for re branding.

BT - Extreme 40
This February we were asked to paint the BT 40. A base was set up at Medina Yard, all existing vinyl removed and the boat was wheeled into the shed. The existing paint was sanded off and we applied a Nautix primer and top coat as requested by Offshore Challenges who manage the boat. Deadlines were met and the boat was completed ready for re-branding.

Waquiez 45
This boat was purchased 2nd hand at the beginning of 2009, a survey was done and some problems were highlighted. We were asked to put right all the issues, antifoul and generally make the boat look like new again. The brief was met and the boat was ready to be launched 2 weeks later.

BT - Extreme 40
At the end of 2008 we took this extreme 40 to Monaco from the base in Cowes for a display at the World Yacht Racing Forum. The boat had to be fully rigged outside the event centre. This involved a road closure to enable the use of a crane to step the mast etc. All deadlines were met and the boat was returned safely back to Cowes the following weekend.

JP Morgan - Extreme 40
In 2008 we managed the JP Morgan Extreme 40, which had been competing in the I-Shares Cup. Our time with this project was taken up with delivering the boat and RIB to and from all events and providing shore support during the races. The boat won the first event in Lugano, Switzerland and went on to achieve respectable finishes in the remaining four events. Another season highlight was preparing the boat for sailing through Tower bridge in London with members of the successful Olympic team.

TP52 – Panthera
Panthera came to the Solent for the first time in 2006 and managed to win almost every event entered. In 2007 the boat was further optimised for IRC with a new keel and bowsprit and some minor deck layout alterations. In 2007 the boat won the Red Funnel Regatta, IRC Nationals, her class in the Round the Island race and finished 2nd in a very competitive Cowes week. Panthera then spent the winter in the Caribbean competing in both St Maarten and Antigua Sailing Weeks scoreing a first in class and first overall at both regattas. The boat was then shipped back to the UK to compete in Cork, Cowes Week and the Little Britain Challenge Cup.

Farr 52 – Chernikeeff 2:
We took on Chernikeeff 2 in 2006 and have had a major overhaul of all deck gear and systems. After a successful season the boat has spent the winter packed up in the shed. All hydraulics and deck gear have been serviced; pedastals and mast have been resprayed and the keel joints have been re-laminated with a new spray and race fairing job on the keel. All this has been complemented with new cockpit bags and rail pads.
In February 2009 we have just finished re spraying the bottom and wet sanding it to an even racing finish and the boat will go back in the water ready for another season.

Farr 52 – Bear of Britain:
Bear, new in 2001 has seen a lot of sailing hours over the past few years. Sailed by a youth, amateur crew and has won just about every trophy in the Solent, including being part of the GBR winning Commodores cup team in 2004. The boat had a major refit in 2003 and still looks like she is fresh from the packaging 5 years on. Due to a reduced schedule  in 2008 we now no longer manage the Bear.

Ker 39 -Erivale 3:
Having taken on the management of Erivale in the winter of 2006 we have since replaced all running rigging, overhauled all boat systems and even re-organised the trailer! A new rudder has been fitted in April and has made a large improvement to the boat's handling. This boat had a heavy offshore programme in 2007, including the windy Fastnet where the boat finished inside the top ten overall.
In 2008 this boat was chartered for use in the Commodores Cup and was part of the winning England Red team and not forgetting a strong contender for the overall RORC series when sailed by her regular crew.

Etchells:
In 2007 we looked after 4 Etchells, covering everything from paperwork and logistics to polishing. With the headache of boat management taken away this allowed their owners to fully concentrate on getting the most out of the boats on the racecourse.

Antilope - Rogers 36
Antilope was new in May 2007. We helped commission the boat and worked throughout the year to improve on all the systems and overcome the expected 'teething troubles' with a new boat. The boat has now been sold.

Anticipation - Beneteau 40.7
Prior to the 40.7 nationals in 2007 we re -faired the keel bulb as there was some damage from grounding and did a general deck tidy up. This boat went on to win the nationals by a large margin...At the beginning of 2008 we removed the mast and have done some basic maintenance work and supplied some new halyards before re-stepping. This boat is a top charter boat and has had busy, successful season.

Menenes - Swan 441
Following an incident in the 2008 Round The Island Race we were asked to supply some new running rigging complete with tapers and splices and fit a new tuff luff. All jobs were complete within the week.
